		<description>Hi Karen.  I could not agree with you more.  It's very competitive and there is so much pressure out there for teenagers and young people.  I was with my family over the break and heard my mother make a comment to my neices who is a sophomore in high school about how she should graduate with honors.  I then recalled my own experience when I had graduated high school and having been pressured by my mother to do the same.  I didn't graduate with honors and, for the record, have not been asked about it by anyone since.  I am not saying that this is a negative message to her.  I understand the motivation here.  I just hope that she learns to be proud of herself and learn that balance.  

All of this reminds of me the line in Ferris Bueller's Day Off that goes, "Life moves pretty fast.  If you don't stop and take a look around every once in a while, you could miss it."</description>
